Responsible for corporate finance co-ordination for Barclays for a three-party joint venture between Barclays and another UK bank. Working to define the contractual and commercial basis and timetable for the transaction. Liaison with Corporate Finance, Commercial Contracts Legal, Group General Counsel’s Office, Purchasing, Regulatory and Taxation departments of Barclays. Co-ordinated the timetable between parties and assisted in the engagement of external lawyers. Liaison with directors of all three parties. Developed and defined the legal and commercial framework of the transaction.

Secondment to the Corporate Finance department whilst still under a training contract. Member of the Financial Mergers and Acquisitions group. Project management included: assistance on an offer to a Lloyd’s of London insurance syndicate; work for presentations to clients including Halifax plc; liaison with KPMG senior management and partners throughout various disciplines of KPMG.
